Hyacinths to feed the soul

I found these hyacinths growing in Grandma's yard. They smelled so sweet. Marian told me about a poem about hyacinths, which I found. I really like it:

If of thy mortal goods thou art bereft,

And from thy slender store two loaves alone to thee are left,

Sell one, and with the dole

Buy Hyacinths to feed thy Soul

-Muslihuddin Sadi, 13th Century Persian Poet

I love, love, love this poem! The picture is beautiful--you know how much I adore fresh flowers. What a lovely post.
