I really don't like New Year's Eve. Nevermind the fact that I'm almost always up past midnight on any other night. I don't like the idea of having to stay up because of a holiday. We're not much for parties, so it's usually a half-hearted "yay!" (if that), then off to bed. I was so disinterested, that it was only today that I noticed the date: 1/1/11. So that's pretty cool, I guess. Not only that, but this year we will also see 1/11/11, 11/1/11, and 11/11/11. So Happy New Year.
We were going to take off for California this morning, but last night Jordan came down with a sore throat and chills. We stayed one more day to see if he can get some rest and sleep it off, and then it's back on the road tomorrow, better or not, because school starts on Monday.
This is our failed attempt to continue on the "tradition" that started only last year. It makes last year's try look like a walk in the park.

I love that you can see a play-by-play of what Kimball thought of wearing the 2011 banner. So cute and funny!
Cute Kimball.
In fifteen years you will have a harder time getting him to wear that sash though.. Have a safe trip back to CA.
I don't care for New Year's either. It is mine and Randy's wedding anniversary and it sucks because no one really wants to watch your kids! We were lame this year and were in bed and asleep by 10:30!
I hope that Jordan feels better. That is a long, long drive to make while being sick!
Kimball is adorably stubborn. He was not having anything to do with that sash this year. Hopefully he will get better in the years to come. I also hope that he had a wonderful 2nd birthday!
Happy New Year! Jen's comment makes me laugh! Especially since Addi was with us having a sleepover!
