Last Saturday Jordan and I had our first yard sale. We are in a frenzy of getting ready to pack and move, and purged the house of items we didn't want anymore. I'm not a pack rat, but sometimes it is hard for me to throw things away because I think I may use it someday. This time around, I thought about if I would ever want to see __________ coming out of a moving box in our new place and having to decide where to put it, and that was really helpful when sorting through what to keep and what not to keep.
It was fun having a yard sale, and the weather was beautiful.
Kimball had a great time perusing the wares and saying hi to shoppers. He was a trooper, considering that he has been under the weather for the past few days.
We had trouble deciding how to display clothes since our clothes rack kept falling down. Most of the clothes ended up spread on the ground, but a few were hung up on the big spruce tree. I called it the Giving Tree!
We made $245 from our yard sale, a nice sum, especially because everything we sold would have otherwise been donated or trashed.

Good job, you guys! Not a bad return for a couple of hours in the hot sun! I think the tree display rack is a flash of genius!
As always, I adore Kimball's tender, meaty thighs being modeled in the second pic--so adorable!
That's awesome! I always just donate or trash my stuff. I don't have the energy to do a yard sale.
I love your giving tree! How clever! Kimball is such a little cutie!
