It's one of Kimball's favorites, along with a short little cartoon based on the same story. Hopefully referencing it made him feel a little more prepared. We made sure to pack his stuffed Curious George, which I told Kimball he could hug if he felt sad.
Kimball just seemed so excited and happy about the whole prospect. He raced out to the car.
"Mommy, big kiss! Mommy stay."
"Yes, Mommy is going to stay home. I'll see you in the morning! Are you going to sleep in the tent with Daddy?"
"Yes. Me cry?"
"No, you don't have to cry. Just hug George if you get sad."
"Oh, yes. Okay!"
I hope everything goes well! I'm glad a lot of his little friends are going. I think Kimball will have a blast. I'm just crossing my fingers that he and Daddy can get some sleep! I also asked Jordan to take some pictures, so if he remembers (dads are never as camera-happy as moms), I will include those in the report tomorrow. Now I am off for a fun girls' night!

Oh, I'm so excited to hear all about it--I can hardly wait! Do you think Kimball will actually go to sleep in a strange tent/bed once he realizes they are there for the long haul? Do you think Jordan will remember to take pictures? And the biggest question of all: Does your day tomorrow lend itself to some "Daddy naptime?"
What did you do for your girls' night out? So fun!!!
P.S. Love the matching ties :D
