Yes. Kimball is teething. At 3 1/2 months! He must have early teething genes--I teethed at 5 months, Jordan at 4--but this seems too early! I am going to miss his gummy smiles. I know it will take a while for the rest to come in, but it still seems too early. On Thursday I pulled down his bottom lip to take a look at his gums. I don't know why; he hadn't really done anything that made me think he was teething. But there, just under the surface of the gums, were two little pearly whites. I couldn't believe it! I almost started crying, out of some weird kind of pride that my baby was teething, and out of a kind of sadness/happiness that he is growing up. Later that afternoon, he had quite the cranky spell with lots of crying, and by that night...the teeth had poked through! He's still too little to sit up and hold teething toys, so I hope the rest of the teeth wait until he's a little older and can deal with it a little better.

Tell Kimball to SLOW DOWN. There is no hurry for him to grow up! :)
He is growing up way too fast! What a little joy he is!
Just look at that little guy! This sweet boy is going to go places in this world, I tell you. He is a doer, a goer, a mover and a shaker. He's off to an early start!
Congratulations Kimball! Before we know it, you'll be asking mom for her credit card and the keys to the car!
Wow, that is early! It's funny how each baby grows and develops a little differently- there doesn't seem to be any set timeline they all follow! I felt similarly when Gabe started teething though- excited but a little sad to see him moving on to a new stage.
It's time to be quick with your fingers when fishing those wayward particles out of his mouth. Our little one year old granddaughter took a really hard bite of my finger the other day.
He is so cute, I love that picture! Not only does it show off his mile stone, but he shows off those cubby cheeks! What a doll!
Just so you know, Jordan got his SECOND 2 teeth by the time he was six months, too!
I'll bet some of his trouble sleeping was also because of the teeth. Hopefully that will improve now too...
