Time for an update?

Probably. Let's start with Halloween. This was Kimball's fourth Halloween. What? Think I can't do my math?

First,

second,

third,

and fourth.

So do you think he changed more from his first Halloween to his second, or from his second to his third? It's kind of a toss-up.

You've all seen pictures of Kimball's Darth Vader costume in the previous post by Jordan. He still loves it. The mask comes with us everywhere, and it's a miracle we haven't left it at a store or a park yet.

Like nearly every other American Mormon family, we went to the ward Trunk-or-Treat. Kimball had a great time, aside from falling backward and hitting his head on the concrete curb and being more than a little spooked by some of the more gruesomely dressed adults.

Jordan was an anthropologist! I was Luna Lovegood from Harry Potter, Ravenclaw House. (Please note my radish (er, dirigible plum) earrings!)

On the actual day of Halloween, Kimball and a bunch of his cute friends marched up and down the sidewalk by our house in a "Halloween Parade", like the big kids get to do at school.

That night, we went trick-or-treating around the apartment complex. We started out with a few people, but somehow merged with a enormous mass of children and adults. It wasn't clear if an adult was directing the mass, but the kids sure seemed to be taking charge. Picture 20-30 kids running from door to door in the dark, and imagine yourself sitting quietly in your cozy home, only to have your front door burst open (without a knock), and many tiny voices yelling "TRICK OR TREAT!" It was great fun, and there was only once instance each of someone falling down the stairs and two children knocking heads. Kimball let us know when he was done though. "My want to go home, now." And between all of us (but mostly between Jordan and me), the Halloween candy is nearly gone. It was lots of fun to see Kimball be more into Halloween this year.

Love all of your costumes. I especially love yours. I <3 Luna Lovegood! :)

Kimball sure looks cute as Darth Vader, not very menacing, though. I'm sure as he grows up, he'll be able to pull off the more menacing side better, lol.

Awwwww, these pictures are so great! Ash, your Luna costume is OUTSTANDING! Your hair, your glasses, your earrings, your handmade-by-Ashley scarf, everything is just perfect! Jordan looks very much at home in his costume; I think it suits him perfectly :D And don't get me started on how absolutely adorable Kimball looks!!! I can tell he was really digging that light saber, and I'm sure you've taught him to use the force wisely.

As for how much Kimball has changed? I would say he changed the most from being an orange pumpkin in your tummy to the blue monster, hahahha!

Thanks for this post!!!

When I saw the first picture I thought "oh my gosh! You're pregnant again!" I guess I should have read the title. =) Kimball has gotten SO big! There is a lot of change from a pumpkin to a monster, and then from monster to superman. He is too cute. I love him as Darth Vadar! What will you do when he outgrows the costume?
