Bath Time Babblings

Kimball has been talking more and more lately! He's speaking in three-word-sentences, like "no me garlic" (I don't like/want the garlic), "me do dat" (I'll do that), and "me go too". One of his new favorite friends is a yellow labrador that we have twice seen at the dog park across from our library. Her name is Polly, and Kimball likes to make his hand into a little fist like I taught him, and let her give him kisses through the fence. He pronounces her name so distinctly, with a perfect "L" and everything. It's so cute. "Pease (please) Polly!" he says, when he wants to visit her.

It's interesting that Kimball can say so many real words, but when he talks to himself, it sounds like complete nonsense. He never went though a babbling phase like many one-year-olds, and in fact was a relatively quiet child until a few months ago (excepting laughing, crying, and a few words like yeah, no, mommy, daddy). It's so much fun to hear him talk to himself and to his toys.

Here's a rather lengthy video of him doing that tonight in the bath. I just filmed until I couldn't hold my laugher in anymore. The sticker on his cheek was from a roll that was found in the laundry room free space! He's been wearing it all day, and even wore it to bed. He loves stickers.

I know I'm way behind in posting stuff. I promise more pictures soon!

He definitely sounded like he was having fun, didn't he? I loved the "bye bye." And, the sticker on his cheek was very endearing.

He looks like he is having such a great time in his bath! I just wanted to jump in with him and play with all the toys too!

Whoa, nelly! What a character! Don't you wish you could understand what epic tale he was narrating to his toys?!!! You could tell that he was throwing in dialogue in a couple of places, and I could almost see the wheels turning in his brain as he was rattling off his story. What a smart kid! And what a great imagination! This video is a keeper :D

(Maybe he has his own Popa, Cici and Kick!)

Haha, cute. I wish we had a Kimball translator to find out what he is saying! I like the part where he is speaking very strictly to the blue hippo thing.

I love baby babblings! The other day I told Jason that I spend half of my time translating Addie's babblings and the other half of my time trying to figure out what she's saying.

Such a cute video...
