Superbowl Wrap-Up

I just took a look at last year's post about the Bean Museum, and realized that I visited the exact same day this year as I did last year...February 3rd. Weird!!

We got to watch the Superbowl this year. The football was fun, but the food and family were fantastic! (Those short ribs, Mom, way to go.)

Here is Kimball "watching" the Superbowl last year.

(Kimball at 1.5 months.)

Here he is this year!

Rocking the rhythm section with The Who! (Two thumbs up for the concert, by the way. I like The Who. I thought they did a lot better than the Rolling Stones did four years ago, anyway.)

Kimball has been taking lessons from Uncle Christian, preparing to be the next Keith Moon. (Not really, OK, Kimball?)

"Animal" was based on Keith Moon, by the way.
Just a little trivia.

(look at those arms!)

I saw these pictures of the Saints' quarterback and his little son. They put headphones on him so all the tumult wouldn't scare the poor little man. Very sweet.

When you stop to compare baby Kimball with toddler Kimball, it is astounding to realize how much he has grown and how much he has learned in 12 months! Sheesh, I think I have learned a total of one thing in the last 12 months: Do not back out of your garage without noticing your daughter's car parked behind you. I still cringe at the thought . . . so sorry!

I never knew that Animal was patterned after Keith Moon. What about Rizzo the Rat and Swedish Chef? Your blog is so educational :D

BTW, Kimball really did know what he was doing with those drumsticks. He's a natural, and a smarty pants to boot!

I for one, love The Who! They remind me of playing "Guess that Band" with my dad!
Kimball was totally rocking those sticks in your pictures. He is going to get all the ladies when he gets older...just kidding!

How awesome were Keith Moon's drum set (especially those cymbals!) I was in awe of those. I regret not sending Kimball another Bears outfit to wear this year, but I didn't know what size to send him. You'll have to let me know so I can send a Cubs/Sox outfit for the summer. Haha!
