It's just you and me, Kimball.

I am now a bachelorette for four days. Jordan just left this morning for San Diego, where he will be visiting the campus of UCSD and meeting many anthropology professors and graduate students. The professors there have been very kind and welcoming. They arranged a very busy and productive schedule for Jordan, and are excited to meet him. I hope the trip goes well for him! Kimball continues to be his spry, spunky self. He still hasn't said any real words, but says "da" when we talk about his grandpas, and "daa" (more of a flatter 'a' sound), when we talk about daddy. But he babbles a lot in his own language. He's decided to let me put shoes on him now, so we go on little walks up and down the sidewalk when it's sunny. He's still a sleeping machine, on the whole (a few little hiccups here and there). He sleeps about 12 hours a night, and about 2-3 hours in the day, comprised of two naps. Bless you, sweetheart!

Kimball still loves circles and makes a big deal about any storm drain, button, hole in Jordan's sock, etc. He likes me to vacuum, and makes a very strong two-syllable babble when he refers to the vacuum. He can point out the letters O, Q, U, and sometimes X. He still likes to dance and "conduct" music with his hands, especially at church when he can see the chorister.

Kimball is very strong-willed, stubborn, sometimes impatient, smart, loving, friendly, and sweet. In general, he is a very happy little man.
