It's just you and me, Kimball.

I am now a bachelorette for four days. Jordan just left this morning for San Diego, where he will be visiting the campus of UCSD and meeting many anthropology professors and graduate students. The professors there have been very kind and welcoming. They arranged a very busy and productive schedule for Jordan, and are excited to meet him. I hope the trip goes well for him! I love you sweetheart. Good luck!

Kimball continues to be his spry, spunky self. He still hasn't said any real words, but says "da" when we talk about his grandpas, and "daa" (more of a flatter 'a' sound), when we talk about daddy. But he babbles a lot in his own language. He's decided to let me put shoes on him now, so we go on little walks up and down the sidewalk when it's sunny. He's still a sleeping machine, on the whole (a few little hiccups here and there). He sleeps about 12 hours a night, and about 2-3 hours in the day, comprised of two naps. Bless you, sweetheart!

Kimball still loves circles and makes a big deal about any storm drain, button, hole in Jordan's sock, etc. He likes me to vacuum, and makes a very strong two-syllable babble when he refers to the vacuum. He can point out the letters O, Q, U, and sometimes X. He still likes to dance and "conduct" music with his hands, especially at church when he can see the chorister.

Kimball is very strong-willed, stubborn, sometimes impatient, smart, loving, friendly, and sweet. In general, he is a very happy little man.

Thanks sweet heart. I love these pictures of Kimball. The last one cracks me up. He is just lounging in his throne. What a funny boy.

Suck cute pictures of Kimball! I love the first one! Have you ever thought of being a photographer? Your composition is awesome!

Good luck, Jordan!

Oh, Jenni, your comments are too kind. Pictures like that, that turn out awesome, are really the result of good, natural, light, and a lucky shot. I don't really have any skill, just a good camera. But I do love taking photos!

I agree with Jenni that you take beautiful photographs! (The fact that the subject of the shots {Kimball} happens to be darling just adds to their beauty.) I love the color scheme of the pics with the hard hat; it all seems to mesh together as though it was completely planned out in advance.

Your description of Kimball (strong-willed, stubborn, sometimes impatient, smart, loving, friendly, and sweet) describes a certain baby Ashley to a "T"!!! I think we have a clone! Although he does look very much like his daddy's side of the fam--except his mouth and nose. He has your sweet little mouth and nose, Ash.

Hey Jordan! Good luck! I know you'll make a terrific impression on all you meet. And live it up in the sunny CA weather! Unless it is still raining there. Is it still raining there? I hope not. Come home with a tan!!!

Good luck, Jordan!!!

I agree with everyone, those are great pictures, especially the first two. Kimball's quirks are funny/cute...aren't most kids afraid of the vacuum?

Good luck Jordan!

Ashley, those pictures really are fantastic! You should look into photography classes. I think you have a knack! I particularly love Kimball sitting on his "throne". Addison has a car seat just like that and we call it her throne as well. Too funny!

Do you tell an anthropologist to break a leg? Anyway best of luck Jordan, in sunny CA!

Kimball is always so sweet to look at! I love his lounge act! What a beautiful little boy!

I should have added fiercely independent and irascible to the list...Woo! Those screams tonight!

Screams that were followed by a huge giggle fest. It all turns out all right in the end. If I could only tell Kimball that...

Haha, I LOVE that last picture. It would make a fabulous demotivational poster :).
