Today Kimball went to his first ever BYU Cougars football game! Granted, he only stayed for about 15 minutes, but this is still a milestone! (We hadn't planned to keep him there much longer anyway.) Here we are, all dressed up and ready to go.

Kimball doesn't have any hats that fit him that aren't woolen and wintry, so this one had to do.
As we walked in the stadium he was smiling and flapping his arms and legs, as if he knew that something special was going on. Everyone around us commented on what a cute kid he was. The loud crowd didn't frighten him exactly, but he was pretty quiet and clingy. I think it was because he was too hot. Next time we'll bring him to the fourth quarter instead of the first so the sun can go down a little, and I think he would have a great time! He went to town on a pear that we had brought along...I could tell he was thirsty. So he went home with Grandma Bea and Aunt Marian, where he was very happy, while we stayed for the rest of the game.Which we won, by the way, 42 BYU, 23 CSU. Go Cougs!
When we got back, Kimball gave me a big smile and kind of gave me a hug. Then what really got me was he actually gave me kisses! He opened his mouth really wide and sucked on my cheek. He kept doing it over and over again. What a cutie patootie sweetie pie.
Kimball obviously loves music. Here he is after the game, dancing to the Lawrence Welk Show.

Go Cougars! He is, for sure, the cutest little sports fan, with great moves!
I love his dancing! He already has mad skillz on the dance floor!
I got tears in my eyes when you said that he was giving you kisses. That is probably one of my very favorite things about being a mother. The love that they show you!
Oh, everything about this post is just so incredibly adorable! Kimball looks absolutely precious in his BYU ensemble! And the fact that "he's got rhythm" is only outshone by the fact that it is The Lawrence Welk Show that he is doing the rumba to. Too funny! But the BEST part is the kisses! Now, there is your paycheck, Mama. Better than gold, silver or any riches, wouldn't you say?
So, what is the Lawrence Welk Show? Is it a west coast thing? And who says Kimball can't be a musician and dancer? He can be both!
Kat, the Lawrence Welk Show is a musical variety show that aired in the sixties and seventies. It's just a little cheesy, to say the least, but my grandma likes to watch reruns on PBS!
