Why is it always Daddy?

Poor Daddy. While I was at school today, Kimball woke up from a nap and Daddy snuck in the nursery on his hands and knees to surprise him. Kimball stretched forth a hand to try to grab daddy's face, and Daddy knew at once that something was wrong. He turned on the light and saw that there was baby poo smeared everywhere. On the crib, quilt, and stuffed monkey; through the sheet and mattress pad; on Kimball's hands and face. We've never had a blowout of this magnitude before. Kimball thought it was great. Daddy cleaned up and tried to give Kimball a bath, but I'm really the bath-giver of the household, so I got a phone call begging me to come home quickly! I came home and bathed Kimball again, giving him his third bath of the day. He was having the time of his life.

Here he is, the little stinker, all clean after his bath.

A couple of months ago, Daddy picked up Kimball and started "eating" his tummy, only to catch a whiff of something very foul. Kimball had had a slight blowout, and some of it got on Daddy's shirt and face. Yuck! I had to wash the shirt three times before the stain came out. Here are pictures of the sad affair, where you can see the culprit trying to make a quick get-a-way.

Poor Daddy. The things you put up with for your funny little boy. Thank you!!

Awww, such a good daddy! It's always a surprise with babies. Don't feel bad Jordan, you aren't alone. Once, my niece Kelsey puked on me, then peed on me and then had a huge blow-out all within about 5 minutes. She was sick so I forgave her, but at least you got a fun adventure in bath giving!

I asked Jordan if he took a picture (which I know we ALL would have appreciated;>), but he said his hands were a little full (literally) at the time...

Yeah...can never forget the brownie crumb story!

I learned with Logan to never put him down for a nap without shorts on. One day I put him down with just a shirt (and not a onesie shirt). He took his diaper off and pooped all over the crib. YUCK!

Miss you guys!!
