Summer = Swimming and Fireworks!

On Pioneer Day, Jordan, Kimball and I went swimming with Jordan's family. It was Kimball's first time to a swimming pool, and overall, I think he had a great time! He just did not want to be splashed, and we made sure we were in the pool with the warmest water. I also made sure he was covered up and slathered with sunscreen so that that fair skin of his wouldn't be burnt!

That night my family did fireworks in their cul-de-sac. I was surprised that they didn't scare Kimball; he seemed more interested than scared. I bet next year he'll be more frightened. Several years ago at this same event, Sean covertly secured several fountains on the back of a go cart-like toy car, and then, without warning, sped down the driveway, the cul-de-sac, and the street with the fireworks screaming behind him. The image of Sean on a completely undersized little vehicle shooting sparks behind it was so funny that it has become tradition (no matter how dangerous and foolhardy). Since Sean is gone this year, one of his best friends, Jordan, kept the tradition alive! (Unfortunately, something had broken on the car, so that he was only able to make it to the street before he stalled.)
