Our friend came bearing gifts for the kids, and this is what Silas got:
It says, "When I grow up I want to go to Cambridge." So cute.
Kimball has joined an informal neighborhood soccer league, but as they say in Britain, he is playing football. He was so excited on the first day of practice, that he got all dressed up like this, four hours a ahead of time:
So, so excited, which was why I was surprised to see him get a bit of stage fright when it was his turn to run the drills. "Coach" (our good friend and fellow mommy) had the kids run back and forth, dribble the ball, etc. The crowd of kids was large and loud, and Kimball got a bit shy. Which is totally fine--I didn't like team sports as a kid. But Kimball is good at it, and I think he will start to like it more with practice. It's a good thing this is just a casual little group. He was quite proud after practice was over.

I still can't get over how adorable Silas looks in those two photos up there! Jeepers, Ash, in the second pic if you look at him from his eyes down, he looks exactly like you did when you were a wee two months old! So cute!
And, just look at grownup boy, Kimball! He looks adorable in his "football" duds! What a fantastic opportunity for him to test the waters of playing a sport without too much pressure. Good for that coach/mom!
Oh, Andrea that picture catches you so well...soccer mom/coach is a perfect roll for you, LOL.
