Faux pas

Ashley: "Hey, it's our sixth month anniversary."

Jordan: "What?"

Ashley: "We've been married 4 1/2 years, today."

Jordan: "Wait, what day is it?"

Ashley: "The 11th."

Jordan (hesitaintly): "But...we were married...on...the...10th..."

Ashley: "No, it was the 11th!" (Picks up a framed copy of our wedding announcement)

Jordan looks crestfallen.

Ashley: "What year was it?"

Jordan: "Two thousand...and...seven? Arg! Don't make me do this!"

(Ashley has already left the room, but hears Jordan picking up the announcement again. She returns.)

Jordan (confidently): "It was 2006!"

Ashley: "You cheated!" (Gets on the computer.)

Jordan: "Are you blogging about this??"

Our sixth month anniversary is in a couple of days. I'll guarantee you that Corey won't remember it. ;) Also, he keeps thinking we've been married for one year longer or shorter than we have. I think men are just like that. Too funny!

Alright in my defense it was around midnight. I was thinking about sometime else at the time (and we all know I have a one track mind). I didn't even know what day it was. Lastly, I am really bad at math. REALLY bad.

In Jordan's defense, I always forget what year we were married in too. We were married on New Years Eve though, so it was almost like it was another year!

Atta girl, Ashley! The blogging gene runs in the family :D

If Jordan is already messing up the date after only 4 1/2 years, I wonder what he will remember after 14 1/2 years? Maybe he won't even remember he was married at all after 24 1/2 years. My advice to you, Ash, is don't play the martyr--put up huge signs and posters and neon bilboards all around reminding Jordan of your anniversaries, along with specific suggestions of what you want him to get you, but let him think it is all his idea. Such a win-win sitch!

Happy 4 1/2!

I am rushing to Jordan's defense! I was just joking. We don't celebrate the half-anniversaries, and I never expected him to remember. i was just teasing, and he is a good sport about it!

Tell him not to worry...half of the time neither of us can remember what day/year we were married. And it's even printed in big letters on a sign on our wall :).

This post made me laugh...I loved it :)

(Sounds like the beach is perfect!)

Too funny! I don't have any idea when our 1/2 anniversary would be! It's hard enough to remember when what year it is!

This is hilarious. I totally took it as you meant it, in very good humor. You two are darling! Happy 4 1/2!
