bibliophile |ˈbiblēəˌfīl|
noun
a person who collects or has a great love of books.
That's Jordan for ya. Most of what is going into the moving van is books. Boxes and boxes and boxes of books. Anyone care to guess how many books we have? Because we have a rough estimate. Books on philosophy, anthropology, culture, sociology, religion, symbols, language, logic, politics, history, law, economics, biology and ecology (those last two are mostly mine). Sometimes I feel overwhelmed by the books, but really, what is better than a good book? It's better than having boxes and boxes and boxes of video games, in my opinion! Plus, they are invaluable for Jordan's schooling and future career. I'm so glad that our house is a house of learning. Now, let's hope the guys don't break their backs getting those books loaded on the truck tomorrow!

A book is the best friend you could have! Perfectly chosen for whatever need you have. Read on.
Are you counting the boxes of Jordan's books in our basement? If so, then I'll take a guess and say, hmmm, 500? 600? I really have no idea. Am I even close? I know he has A LOT! And I agree, there is nothing much better than a good book!
I love when I go to someone's house/apartment (like yours) and see a ton of books. It's hard to describe, but it just makes me feel safe/happy. Also, I read somewhere that books can provide pretty good insulation if you put all your shelves on outer walls! Yep, only problem with books is moving them.
I heart books! I hope that none of the boys hurt themselves loading or unloading all those fantastic books. Good luck with your move!
I also have a bad book addiction (especially UC Press books), but like you said it's better than video games. You might want to get Jordan an embosser one day. on my wish list anyway... :-)
