Last year for Easter, Jordan's great aunt Nancy and great uncle Lynn sent Kimball this adorable bunny. He has loved it ever since! We call it his "hop-along bunny", and now all rabbits are hop-along bunnies. We even sing a song, "Hop-along bunny, hop! Hop! Hop-along bunny, hop! Hop!" which Kimball hops along to. Here is Kimball and his hop-along bunny last Easter:
What a chubby boy!
Here they are this year. I asked him to hug the bunny,
but that's all of the posing I could get out of him.
So besides monkeys, bunnies are Kimball's favorite animal right now. We headed over to the grocery store to grab a few things today, and the store had organized a delightful Easter egg hunt for the kids. Kids were running all around the place with bunny ears on their heads. Best of all, who should we run into but:
A hop-along Easter bunny!
Kimball was in utter ecstasy. No shyness. Just complete rapture.
These are the best pictures I could get since I only had my phone, and Kimball was squirming like crazy. He kept trying to hug the bunny and touch its nose. He was laughing and pointing. His joy cannot be described. Above, they are clapping together. We had to go back to see him again, and I'm pretty sure we accidentally cut in line. One thing is for sure: Kimball is going to love the characters at Disneyland, especially if we can find a Brer Rabbit!

That is so cute! I have never seen a toddler so in love with a giant character before. No stranger danger there! :)
Thats so cute! Kind of weird that he's in the grocery store but Yah kimball for not being afraid!! Does the bunny like peeps??
My goodness! What a difference a year makes! Kimball is so much a toddler now instead of a little baby.
I love the fact that hKimball is so friendly with Mr. Easter Bunny--do you see that he is setting a good example for that little scared kid who is peeking out from behind the bread in the second to last picture? I'm sure that kid is thinking, "Man. I wish I could be that brave!" Yay Kimball!
Haha, those first pictures of Kimball with his bunny last year are SO cute! It made me miss the chubby baby stage (not that 1-year-olds aren't chubby, but you know what I mean). Too cute :)
(That was Alicia, by the way, not Jason)
He is so cute and has just turned into all boy. I love his hair.
Wow! Most kids his age are scared to death of big furry animals! Come to think of it, they scare me too! He has changed so much in the last year! He is a big kid now! So cute!
This is so cute! I love his zest for Easter, and as always, his darling red hair.
CONGRATS on the PhD program! Oh my gosh! I couldn't believe all those "ANDs!" We are so thrilled for you both! There is no family more deserving! When will you be moving! Give us all the details! We would love to come and see you!
All the best in the meantime, Ashley. Thanks so much for keeping in touch.
