I sired a son!

That's right--I singlehandedly provided the essential Y chromosome for our little baby boy. Of course Ashley has had to do everything else from that moment on but let's not forget that I sired a son. I would have been absolutely thrilled to have a daughter but I was secretly hoping for a boy. Ashley made me promise that I will not get our son addicted to comic books but I think I'll have plenty of other opportunities to share my geeky hobbies with our little boy. I'm so glad that I've had little brothers to practice with and I really do think that I'll be a good dad. Most of all I know that our little boy is going to love his mother so much. Ashley has such a close and intense love for our baby that I know that our little boy will be born into such a loving household. I'm so excited to talk to our baby everyday (right now I have to settle with Ashley's abdomen). I felt so close to our baby when I saw the ultrasound--it all seemed so much more real. I love everything about the little guy, especially how proud he was of his little man part (he flashed us quite frequently). When we got home last night I talked to the baby for probably half an hour and would have gone all night if we weren't so tired. Although we are still not totally set on a name I love calling our baby by name (Kimball Jordan). I had a sweet dream of our baby boy talking to his mommy and it made wake this morning with the greatest feeling of satisfaction. I'm so excited for all of you to meet the coolest kid around. Love you all and thank you for your love and support.

I've heard it called a lot of things, but not sure I've ever heard "man part." But now having seen the video, you're right-- he sure wasn't shy about it!

As I pointed out last night at dinner, I think it's neat that Kimball will be the oldest son
of an oldest son
of an oldest son
of an oldest son.
Can't wait to get a 4 generation Haug family picture like the one we have of you, me, my dad and Pops when you were a baby.

We love you all,

Dad

I love you baby! I'm so excited for you to be the best daddy ever! Kimball is sure lucky to have a daddy who already loves him so much.
