So funny, so true

I love PhD comics (Piled High and Deeper)! I can identify with almost all of them. This one is one of my favorites. (Click on it to make it bigger if you need to.) That's me, the grad student, curled into a fetal position. At least I'm not a lowly invertebrate anymore. The PhD student hasn't even made it out of the basement yet. I've been writing grants and more grants for that funding program manager up there in the sky. Click here to see more comics!

I am so excited you guys have a blog!!!! YEAH! I especially enjoyed reading your "likes" and "dislikes." What? No Scrabble for Jordan? I think I already knew that; glad to know he's not sucking up to his m-i-l who happens to love it :) Ashley loves nudibranchs and Jordan hates slugs--uh oh. Could spell trouble. I will be sure to be a faithful reader so post often!!! Love you tons!

I liked your "likes and dislikes" too.

And I never knew Jordan hates Scrabble! I feel guilty and partly responsible since we never really played it at home while he was growing up.

Ironically, it has ended up being one of Nathan's and Bretton's favorite games. Then again, I guess that makes sense. They're the first of our kids to have any sense of spelling... g

Haha, that's a good one. I also liked the recent storyline about how he kept passing out when he tried to read a paper. Lucky for me, engineering grad students don't seem to have to write grants like bio grad students do. Maybe the PhD's do it or something...I think I'll just remain blissfully ignorant on the topic of grant writing...hopefully forever ;)

P.S. I clicked on the nudibranches link and they are FREAKING me out *heebie jeebies*

I'm sorry the nudibranchs are freaking you out. I think they're so pretty! How do I make my comment attached to yours in blogger?

The nudibranches are kind of cool looking, but they also remind me of stingrays, which I think are creepy too...I'm weird.

What do you mean, attaching the comment? Do you mean like directly in reply to mine? Threaded, like they are in livejournal? Because as far as I know, you can't do that in blogger, one of the only drawbacks to blogger in my opinion.
