"Hmmm, maybe if I put them ON my eyes, then I'll see REALLY good!"
Kimball is also trying out sentences, which are really never more than two words, but that's still a sentence, right? Things like,
"Papa, home" (Papa's/Grandpa's house),
"yewo cheese" (yellow cheese),
"no pipi" (no diaper---I don't call diapers "pipis", nor do we use the word "pee" all that often, so I don't know where "pipi" came from), and
"yewo tacie" (yellow pacie, or pacifier).
Last night in the car, he kept chanting "yewo tacie. Yewo tacie!" I told him he could have the yellow pacie when we got home. He was quiet for a good few minutes. I turned around and asked him how he was.
"Yewo tacie!" he demanded. A one-track mind, that fellow.
He's also got some sense of grammar. Jordan and Kimball were scribbling on paper one day. Kimball pointed to Jordan's pencil and said "Daddy's". I was impressed that he added an "s" to the word! Then he pointed at his own pencil and said, "me's". Now THAT is impressive!
He'll fill in the blanks in certain songs when I pause. He cracked me up when I sang to him a song about grandmothers: "I wish every child in the whole wide world had a grandmother just like ____"
"Me!" he chimed in. (It's supposed to be "you".)
He may have his teenage moments, but mostly he is awfully sweet!

This is one of your best posts yet! Please do more of these! We want more! We want more! We want more!
The carrot thing is hilarious! But, my goodness, what a smartie pants he is! After all, you did tell him carrots are good for his eyes. He's got it all figured out in a very literal way :D
The bubble blowing pictures are just too cute for words. Love that baby!
I love that he put the carrots ON his eyes! What a little smartie pants! All he needs to learn now is the smartie pants dance! :)
He is getting so big and grown up! I think his fireman hat is a wonderful accessary to his outfit! What a cute boy!!!
I love all the pictures of him blowing bubbles.
Reading about his "grammar" skills is so interesting because of things I'm learning in my linguistics class. As far as the pipi for his diaper, he must have heard someone else reference to peeing, but then he used his innate linguistic skills to make his on reference and sentence.
He is growing up way too fast! I love the carrot story! Such a smartie!
