Antique Scavenger Hunt!

After Kimball's gymnastics class today, we were driving home, but I was also on the lookout for something to fill some time. We passed a local antique place, and I asked Kimball if he wanted to go and look at the old trucks. So we turned around, and then I thought of a brilliant idea. We would have a scavenger hunt! Unfortunately, the store wasn't open yet, but there was plenty to look at outside! Before we got out of the car, we came up with a list of things to find. Kimball was a great little hunter!

Something Spiky

Something Blue

Something Green

Something Round

Something Soft
(cowboy boots)

Something with Flowers

A Cup

A Button

Something Scary

This "scary" one cracks me up, because last summer we spent a night in my grandpa's cabin, and this picture was hung on the wall:

Kimball hated it so much, that he had us turn it around to face the wall. He kept saying "No me like old laaaady!"

Next time, we'll have to explore both floors inside the building, but today's hunt was a fun activity! We finished up with a yellow (Kimball's favorite color) cupcake at Flour Girls and Dough Boys.

Kimball is such a lucky boy to have a mommy who will do cool stuff like this for him! I'll be sure to remind him of that when he is a teenager :) I love that the price tag is hanging out of the cowboy boot in the seventh pic--kind of reminds me of Minnie Pearl (google her). Cool backdrop for a pic too! Kimball is just so adorable!
